Shiny hair is possible for Naturals!

Being natural my entire life, I’ve often noticed and struggle with dry hair. Call it a combination of heredity, diet and seasonal changes, whatever the cause, my hair has hit some dry patches – no pun intended. Now, let me be clear, not dry as in dry and brittle, but more of a dull sort of look to the hair. If you’ve suffered with the same thing, I have an amazing tip for you today.

Several years back I started watching hair videos by a young woman name Shawnta713. I’m not sure if she’s still on YouTube or not but I always admired how beautiful her skin was. Then she did a video talking about how oily her skin is, as well as mine, and how she maintained her skin was with an oil wash. Yeah, she washed her oily skin with oil.

When I tell you guys her skin is beautiful and so I thought the same could apply to hair. If it’s shine you’re looking for, if it’s gloss you’re looking for then why not wash the hair with oil.

Let’s jump right in.

The one thing I’m going to ask of you today is to look in your homes first to see if you already have these ingredients: Castor oil, Jojoba oil and Vegetable Glycerin oil. If you don’t have them, please visit your local health store and purchase.

Next, purchase a squirt bottle like the one shown and add 1/2 cup of jojoba, 1/2 cup of castor oil 1/4 cup of vegetable glycerin to the bottle and get ready.

After co-washing your hair with a great conditioner, start by sectioning the hair into 4 to 8 sections, while the hair is still completely wet. Begin to squirt the oil on the sections and be sure that you are still in the shower or over the sink. Cover hair with plastic caps and leave on for 30-40 minutes. You may also sit under a dryer hood, which is the preferred method (for the same amount of time).

After you’re done, rinse the oil out with conditioner and style as you please.

Let me know how it works for you after you’ve done it at least 3x. Why after 3x? Simply, the hair has to get use to not being stripped by shampoos and/or products and get used to this simpler process.

Please feel free to share results after the first time, if you like.
